A premium holiday spent at TOGEN Ryokan
Welcome to the TOGEN Ryokan. This Japanese style inn (called Ryokan) has 40 Japanese-style rooms, and each guest room has its own private bath or private shower room and toilet.
There are also shared indoor and outdoor hot spring baths for women and men (same gender for each bath room), and there is chartered open-air bath at the inn. You can enjoy fresh Japanese-style seafood and vegetable dishes.
Cuisine
Toyama Bay is known as the natural fish tank. Savor the flavors of the sea,freshly picked right at Toyama Bay.
Our carefully selected hearty meals are full of delicacies proudly presented by Toyama Prefecture, including the mystery firefly squid of Toyama Bay, Himi beef that melts in your mouth, and white shrimp with an elegant sweetness.

“Kitikito” means fresh in the Toyama dialect. Enjoy kitokito seafood, served just as the name suggests.
Firefly squid are called the gems of the Japan Sea. The rich entrails of the fresh squid go perfectly with local sake.
The crab course is a must-try. Enjoy seasonal delicacies from the sea and mountains that can only be eaten in this season.
Hot Spring
Take your time enjoying Unazuki’s waters in our large bath, open-air bath, our fabulous private open-air bath, or footbath.
The large bath is open 24 hours a day. The granite bath and rock bath alternate between men’s and ladies’. The two newly opened riverbed open-air baths are exceptionally refined.
They were renovated into slightly shallow cypress open-air baths, where bathing guests can feel the greatness of nature up close.
A ceramic open-air bath has been added on the side to give the open-air bath a whole new ambience. Enjoy a relaxing soak with your family and friends.
They are all connected to the indoor baths, making access really easy.
Rooms
If you look down, you will see the clear stream of Kurobe River below you. The room offers views of the beautiful scenery of the Kurobe Gorge that changes with the season.

Japanese Style Bedroom
Ultimate Japanese-style rooms designed to offer relaxation.
The new guest rooms integrating a veranda into river-side rooms have Simmons beds that beckon your tired body to the most comfortable sleep.
These rooms are recommended if you like staying in a Japanese-style room, but would also like to get a good night’s sleep.

Spend a relaxing time and gently sooth away the weariness of your travels.
You can just sit back on Indoor balconies next to your river-side Japanese-style room and watch the Kurobe River flow by.
If you select the guest room on the top floor, you get to stay in a spacious Japanese-style room with an even more magnificent view plus a room with a double bed, which offers even greater relaxation compared to the other ordinary Japanese-style rooms with Kurobe River views.

Enjoy both the Japanese and Western styles.
There is a bedroom just before the Japanese-style room facing the Kurobe River, and is ideal for guests who would like to keep places for relaxing and sleeping separate, and for international guests.
Access
Access to Unazuki Onsen improved greatly with the opening of the Hokuriku Shinkansen. Unazuki Onsen can now be easily accessed from all over the country. Why not enjoy a trip to a destination that is not too far, not too near, and is just right.
